Math Olympiad

On the 4th of October 2012, the "Science Olympiad Foundation" held its International Cyber Olympiad 2012. Kazi Silmy Islam of Usha Martin School Dankuni, of class III, made us all proud by ranking 4thInternationally and 2nd at the State Level.This is indeed a very remarkable achievement by someone as young, and it once again endorses the philosophy that the best form of learning is through experiencing; a philosophy which is the gospel of the Usha Martin schools, and which has helped children emerge as knowledge citizens.

UMS Dankuni was a proud recipient of the prestigious TTIS award given to the seven Most Eco Friendly Schools in West Bengal. These were shortlisted from no less than 450 schools! It is indeed a great honour for a school which is just into its second academic year. This goes to show that we are on the right path to instill the correct values to children who will be citizens of a more resource starved planet.
